Working closely with Susan Quain, Digital Employee Experience (DEX) Director at Fidelity International, EiA supported her global review of the DEX employee proposition.
Using EiA’s ICAN model (The Internal Consulting Answer), a creative programme was designed that brought Gen Z employees in the UK, India and APAC region together with senior leaders of Fidelity to explore what a good digital experience should look and feel like for this generation. This programme was supplemented with EiA’s ECAN model (External Consulting Answer) which involved an external group of Gen Z representatives, representing each of the countries involved, creating a bridge between existing and future employees.
The digital employee experience (DEX) has become a key factor in winning and retaining talent. This is especially true for Gen Z who are digital natives with high expectations that have come from growing up being more connected, more adaptable and more independent.
Susan Quain, Digital Employee Experience Director at Fidelity International, recognised the importance of DEX to the employee proposition early on and the pandemic brought DEX into ever sharper focus as a core requirement of creating a great place to work. It also highlighted the importance of blending the digital and physical workplace as key to preserving the culture.
