In December 2021, St. James’s Place, one of the UK’s leading wealth management companies, partnered with EiA to help them connect more closely with local based talent as part of their social mobility and diversity strategy.

The business was keen to understand how more young people could be attracted to the financial services industry and increase their awareness of savings and investments as a long-term choice.

Using EiA’s ‘Classroom to Boardroom’ approach, students from the University of Gloucestershire worked up their innovative ideas and strategies, including detailed mock-ups for social media campaigns, to better inform young people and attract them to the industry.

Robert Honnor, Director of Talent Acquisition and Development at St James’s Place, was impressed by the students’ ideas and their presentation. He commented: “The event inspired us to think differently about the way we engage with, and attract, young talent to our business. The students presented a number of innovative recommendations that we will continue to explore.”
